Brace for immobilising the upper arm

  • medi Humeral fracture brace - shoulder brace for stabilisation of the humerus

The shoulder brace serves to immobilise and stabilise the upper arm bone (humerus) in a defined position The brace is easy to put on and take off due to the various hook-and-loop fastenings and straps. The shoulder brace is also individually adaptable to accommodate swelling. The stable aluminium splints can be moulded individually and also removed. This is useful, especially when taking X-rays.

The brace is helpful for various indications where an immobilisation of the shoulder joint in defined postion becomes necessary. This is, for example:

    • proximal humerus fractures (nonsurgical, postoperative)
    • following proximal humeral shaft fractures (nonsurgical, postoperative)

The aluminium splints, which can be removed to adapt them to the individual or to take an X-ray, guarantee stability and comfort. Furthermore, the shoulder brace can be adapted to the course of treatment and to the needs of the patient, because the individually adjustable straps make it possible to adapt the shoulder brace to accommodate the respective degree of swelling. Moreover, the individual straps and the forearm loop are easy to detach.

An extension element for larger upper arm circumferences is available separately, by virtue of which the product can be used irrespective of size. The elasticity of the high-quality padding material ensures a comfortable fit.
