    All you experience is reliability. Compression has never proven so trustworthy: mediven plus® is a round-knitted medical compression stocking in an opaque look. It conceals varicose veins and spider veins and is also comfortable to wear for patients with heavier thighs. Due to the material thickness, the fit and the product characteristics, we recommend mediven plus for amongst others for normal weight to overweight men and women with light to heavy tendency to venous oedema (leg swelling) as well as for those with soft connective tissue.*

    mediven plus® has been established for over 40 years and caters for a variety of indications for men and women:

    • chronic venous disease stages I to III according to Widmer or C0s – C5 according to CEAP
    • initial phase following varicose therapy
    • congestion problems and oedema during pregnancy
    • postoperative reperfusion oedema
    • post-traumatic, postoperative, occupational, medicinally induced oedema
    • oedema due to immobility
    • superficial venous thrombosis
    • deep leg vein thrombosis
    • condition after thrombosis, post-thrombotic syndrome
    • thrombosis prophylaxis in mobile patients
    • Inflammatory dermatoses of the legs
    • nausea and dizziness in pregnancy

    mediven plus® is characterised by its high durability. The product is available as a below-knee stocking, a thigh-length stocking or as a pantyhose. The maxi panty top is available as a standard version for mediven plus®. The optimised toe, the Plus heel, ribbed sole reinforcement and the 5 cm wide cuff ensure an optimum fit and wearing comfort. Furthermore, you also benefit from the wide range of variants available.

    Intended purpose

    • Round-knitted medical compression stocking used for compression of the lower extremities, mainly for the treatment of disorders of the venous system. 

    Indications

    • Chronic venous disease: C0s - C5 according to CEAP
    • Initial phase following varicose therapy
    • Congestion complaints and oedema in pregnancy
    • Postoperative reperfusion oedema
    • Post-traumatic, postoperative, occupational oedema, medicinally induced oedema
    • Oedema due immobility
    • Superficial venous thrombosis
    • Deep vein thrombosis
    • Condition after thrombosis, post-thrombotic syndrome
    • Thrombosis prophylaxis in mobile patients
    • Inflammatory dermatoses of the legs 

    Compression socks are divided into:

    • CCL1 - when there is a small degree of varicose veins, swelling of the legs in the evening, during long trips, when tired, painful legs are constantly felt.
    • CCL2 – in case of varicose veins, swelling of the legs, deep vein thrombosis, lymphedema, after surgical treatment of varicose veins of the legs.
    • It is very important to choose the right size according to the size chart. Please refer to the size chart.
    • CCL3 - in severe edema, chronic hypodermatitis, irreversible lymphedema. 

    Putting on/taking off compression socks or tights
    It is recommended to put on compression socks or tights in the morning, before getting up, before the swelling of the legs has started. It is best to use rubber gloves as this will make it easier to put on and take off the compression socks or tights. Feet must be dry.
    Using rubber gloves, rub the sock or pantyhose over the foot and heel until the heel is in place. Do not pull the sock by the top edge.

    Washing instructions

    It can be washed by hand and in a washing machine, using the hand wash mode. Water temperature - no more than 40°C. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Rinse well.
    After washing, carefully hang to dry. Do not leave them lying damp on a towel. Do not leave to dry on heaters, radiators or in direct sunlight. Do not iron with an iron.

    Composition:

    • CCL 1: 25% elastane, 75% polyamide
    • CCL 2: 31% elastane, 69% polyamide
    • CCL 3: 37% elastane, 63% polyamide.
